Learn more about my hidden adventure in Washington state. Adventures keep be alive and happy!

hidden railroad

You know that one friend you say yes to for everything? Yea your ride or die, road dog, woe...well that's exactly why I said yes for going on this hike. Aside from a few instagram post there was little information about how to find this railroad. Not to mention it was about a 2hr drive away. Nevertheless, I committed to it and this has been one of the funnest hikes to date!

Where is this bridge?

I won't give to many details here, as that will take the adventure out of it. Here's a hint though, this bridge can be found in the Olympic forest. However, I am not sure if this bridge still exist today as it has been in the plans to take it down for a while now. Turns out this is the second highest bridge in the US and stands 347 feet over the Skokomish river. If you're afraid of heights maybe this adventure isn't for you.

The adventure

We arrived mid morning with so much excitement and ready to find this well known secret that somehow had little to no details.  So how did we find this bridge? Well we went around and around in the forest...still no bridge. We were getting frustrated and decided to take one last look at the clues/tips and bootleg map we found on social media and gave it one last try. Then finally we found the bridge. SUCCESS!

The first thing we did was walk on the bridge and look at the beauty that encompassed us. I wasn't fearless enough to sit on the edge but I sat in the middle of the bridge. The below photo is just a snippet of the beauty that surrounded us. Do your research if you plan on doing this hike. Always remember to be safe and most importantly have fun.
